Opening a business credit card isn’t actually as bad as you may be imagining. In fact, it’s actually relatively easy to do as long as you have a sustainable business—it doesn’t even have to be an LLC or large corporation.
Most important is to ensure that our business meets IRS guidelines for what qualifies as a business (which are honestly relatively loose and easy to fit into). From there, you can browse through various credit cards you may want your business to have and to organize whatever information you may need to apply (address, business name, social security number, projected income, etc.).
From there, the most important (and sometimes difficult) aspect is to keep business expenses in check and separate from other unrelated purchases. It makes it so you don’t have to look through all your statements at the end of the year come tax season, too!
